You are just one step away from receiving your 30-day trial of SDL Trados Studio 2011 Professional.
The trial is valid for 30 days from the date that you install the software. On installation you will also receive some sample files and tutorials to help you get started!
To download your trial of SDL Trados Studio 2011 Professional please follow the steps below:
Click on the "Download Trial" button at the bottom of the page
Enter your details in the form and select the languages you would like to work with*. Please note you can only select 1 language pair.
Click "Start download" on the form
A tutorial will automatically play showing you how to use SDL Trados Studio 2011.
We will send you a couple of emails during the trial period with links to resources to make sure that you get the most from your trial software.
* Please note that the trial version contains a number of sample files to help you get started. These sample files are currently only available in a limited number of language pairs. You will need to select a language pair (E.g. English - Spanish) in order to proceed. Once you have installed the software, you will be able to work with the same language combinations as the full version of SDL Trados Studio 2011.
This trial will not work if you have any other SDL Trados Studio 2011 edition already installed or if you have installed an SDL Trados Studio 2011 free trial previously.
As soon as you have finished downloading the file, locate it and double click on it. The file name will be similar to "SDLTradosStudioDemoENIT.exe" - with only the language options changing, depending on the language you chose.
Two files will be decompressed within the same folder where your download was located:
- SDL Trados Studio 2011 installation (called SDLTradosStudio2011_SP2_3001.exe)
- And an SDL Project Package containing samples (called 'SDL Trados Studio - Demo Project_it-IT.sdlppx' - the name again will vary depending on the language selected)
Run the SDL Trados Studio installation file.
Once SDL Trados Studio is installed, you can double click on the SDL Project Package.
SDL Trados Studio will start and the SDL Project Package will be imported.
Once completed step 5, click on 'Projects' on the bottom left hand side navigation of Studio and you will find the project called 'SDL Trados Studio - Demo Project'. Double click on it.
Go to the 'Files' view. At the top left side of the screen, select the language you will be translating into. You will see a file named 'Demo Sample EN.docx.sdlxliff' on the right hand pane; double click on it. You are now ready to start working in Studio!
