To quickly print a copy of the current term that you are working on in your SDL MultiTerm 2007 termbase, press Ctrl+Shift+P. This allows you to have a hardcopy version of your term in an easy to read format.

Creating a new filter in SDL Multiterm 2007


To quickly create a new filter in SDL MultiTerm 2007 simply press Ctrl+Shift+F. This provides you with access to the filter wizard, allowing you to quickly create or modify filter definitions. For example you may want to create a complex filter to allow you to find entries that were created after a specific date and have a definition field.

To quickly add a new term to your MultiTerm 2007 termbase, simply press F3. In order to edit an existing term, simply highlight the term and press F2. This is a simple way of quickly adding terms to your termbase and allowing you to edit your existing terms.
Termbase Catalogue

To quickly open the termbase catalogue in MultiTerm 2007 simply press Alt+Enter. This allows you to quickly adjust the source and target index of your termbase and see the total amount of entries that your termbase contains. This will also give you quick access to the layout, input model, filter, export and import menus.

By pressing CTRL+A you can activate fuzzy search. You can now search for terms that are similar or identical to the search text. This allows you to quickly search for complete and partial matches, especially useful when you are unsure of the correct spelling of a term.
Search for Duplicate Terms

Did you know that you can search for duplicate terms in SDL MultiTerm 2007 by pressing Crtl+D. This is an easy way to see if your termbase contains any repeated or duplicate terms. You can also search for incomplete entries by pressing Crtl+I, this allows you to ensure that all of your terms are up-to-date and that each term has the correct information attached to it.

Did you know that SDL MultiTerm can support all languages worldwide, including Unicode-only languages, That's over 100 languages! This means you can manage your terminology in all languages and search for terms in any direction regardless of your native language.

SDL MultiTerm 2007 allows you to quickly open and close additional termbases by pressing Crtl+O. When working with multiple termbases this allows you to quickly select the termbase that you need and close your inactive termbases.

In MultiTerm 2007 you can search your term base for any term by entering the entry number into the search text field and by pressing the keyboard combination Ctrl+G. This is a great way of gaining quick access to your terms without having to run a full text search or fuzzy text search

Did you know that SDL MultiTerm 2007 can run searches on multiple termbases. If you run a sequential search, each termbase is searched one at a time and the results from each termbase are grouped together in the Hit List pane. To set your searches as sequential, click on 'Search' then 'Search settings' then select 'Search all termbases sequentially and group results by termbase'.

To quickly change the view of your termbase in SDL MultiTerm 2007, simply press Ctrl+Shift+L. This will enable you to select dfferent layouts for viewing your terms. SDL MultiTerm 2007 comes with five pre-loaded layouts, however you can create additional layouts to see the terms that you want in the way you want to see them. Excellent for a freelancer with different termbases
Termbase Entries

In MultiTerm 2007 you can quickly view the next entry in your termbase by pressing Alt+right or by pressing Alt+left you can view the previous entry. This allows you to rapidly move though your termbase and quickly find your terms.
