A translator that has been successful in achieving SDL TRADOS Certification is a person that has demonstrated proficiency in SDL Trados 2007 and the Create, Cleanse, Maintain (CCM) Methodology. Achieving SDL TRADOS Certification will validate your expertise in understanding and applying the CCM Methodology, as well as leveraging the complete range of SDL Trados functionality, including new collaboration, filtering, QA checking and terminology management.

1. Own a legal, company-registered license of SDL Trados 2007
2. Have practical knowledge of the Create Cleanse Maintain (CCM) Methodology
3. Take the Certification placement exam to determine your level expertise.
4. Based on the placement exam results, the exam will suggest Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3.
5. Study/Prepare to pass the advised level - SDL TRADOS Certification Training courses are highly recommended
6. Once you have passed the Level 3 you will receive a link that you can display on your email signature / website. Corporations and LSPs can check this link to verify on which products you are SDL TRADOS Certified on.
7. You will be listed in the SDL TRADOS Certified Freelance Directory where customers can search for SDL TRADOS Certified translators
